Although the full-spectrum sunlight and incandescent lamps have high color development, they actually contain many spectra that are difficult for human eyes to distinguish and harmful to the human eye. High-quality illumination sources need to protect the human eye's vision. According to the law of relative visual acuity, the spectrum of the light source that is difficult for the human eye to distinguish and harmful to the human eye can be filtered out. Assume that the illumination source used only emits the three most sensitive lines of the human eye, namely: blue, green, and red. This seems to achieve the human eye's need for lighting while preventing the human eye from being aware of the effects of harmful rays on the human eye. However, the color rendering of this hypothetical light source will be poor. Therefore, in order to ensure color rendering, our ideal light source still needs to have a continuous background spectrum. Therefore, from the perspective of protecting eyesight, the spectrum emitted by fluorescent lamps and LED lamps has a peak line spectrum on the basis of continuous spectrum, which is more favorable to human vision than full-spectrum sunlight and incandescent lamps.
In general: LED and fluorescent lamps are more beneficial to human vision than sunlight and incandescent lamps.
